Muzeum Světelska

This town museum tells the story of Světlá nad Sázavou and its surroundings. You will find facsimiles of old charters from the town's beginnings, archaeological finds, and a small display on the noble families who owned Světlá, including the Trčkas of Lípa, the Kolowrats and the Salms. One section honours local-born and resident painters, a sculptor, a composer and writers. A newer exhibition covers stone quarrying and masonry, with three-dimensional replicas of stonemasons' tools and products.
