Muzeum Šipka

Štramberk, Moravskoslezský kraj

The permanent exhibition here tells the earliest story of Štramberk through archaeological and geological finds made in the town. The museum occupies the old butchers' stalls beside the former lower gate, a remnant of the medieval town fortifications. The building dates from 1822 and lies within the town's heritage reservation. It once housed a town museum and a gallery too. Muzeum Šipka belongs to the Museum of the Nový Jičín Region.
