Muzeum Produkcji Zapałek w Częstochowie

Matches were made here for well over a century, and the museum shows how. It occupies the former match factory on ul. Ogrodowa, founded in 1881 as the first of its kind on Polish lands and idle since 2010. Besides two exhibition rooms, you walk through the plant itself, with a production line dating from the 1930s. Częstochowa matchboxes were known for the black cat on their label. The site is part of the Industrial Heritage Trail of Silesia.
