Muzeum Powozów i Zaprzęgów w Galowicach

Housed in a half-timbered granary from 1730 on the former estate of the von Lieres und Wilkau family, this museum holds over fifty carriages, from sleighs and coaches to a horse-drawn fire wagon. You will also see cavalry saddles, harnesses, bits, and the trunks, suitcases and other trappings of old-time travel, plus a field kitchen from 1905. A section on Silesian village life and the history of Galowice completes the display, and a herb garden with botanical labels lies beside the buildings.
