Muzeum Polaków Ratujących Żydów

Markowa, podkarpackie

This museum in Markowa honours Poles who risked their lives to save Jews during the Second World War, and is named after the Ulma family. Józef and Wiktoria Ulma and their six children were murdered by German gendarmes in 1944, together with eight Jews they were hiding. The modern building, with a partly glazed façade, opened in 2016 and contains an exhibition hall, a lecture hall and a research room.
