Aircraft are displayed on the grounds of the former Rakowice-Czyżyny airfield, set up in 1912 and among the oldest in the world. More than 200 aircraft are on show, and a new main building opened in 2010. Aircraft engines are shown too, and CNN has ranked it eighth among the world's best aviation museums.
