Muzeum Górnośląskie w Bytomiu

The collections here range across archaeology, ethnography, history, natural history and art, with a separate department devoted to the history of Lviv and the south-eastern borderlands. The museum occupies a main building from 1929–1930 and the eclectic former district office from the early 1900s. A notable holding is the 2017 gift of more than 500 Hebrew religious books from Bytom's former Jewish house of prayer, the third-largest such collection in Poland.
