Muzeum Energetyki Podkarpackiej w Rzeszowie

Rzeszów, podkarpackie

This small museum traces more than a century of electric power in the Podkarpacie region through objects: meters made in Kazimierz Szpotański's factory, ammeters and wattmeters, fitters' tools, old clocks, documents and photographs. Among the exhibits are the oldest surviving piece of the underground cable that brought electricity to Łańcut Castle and a Polish Meritum computer from 1985. Visits include live demonstrations with a Van de Graaff generator and a Ruhmkorff coil. It is housed in rooms on ul. 8 Marca, and visits are by prior arrangement.
