Muzeum Cheb

Cheb, Karlovarský kraj

Housed in the Pachelbel House, a old burgher house on the north side of Cheb's main square, this museum is worth a visit for the building as much as for what is inside. The house dates from the Gothic 14th century and was rebuilt in Renaissance style in the early 1600s. Albrecht von Wallenstein was murdered here in 1634. The museum opened in 1874, making it one of the oldest regional museums in Bohemia.
