Muzeum Benedyktynów w Tyńcu

Kraków, małopolskie

The museum occupies the cellars and ground floor of the former library of the Benedictine abbey at Tyniec. It shows objects from the abbey's past: archaeological finds, the oldest from the Neolithic, Romanesque architectural fragments from the 11th–12th centuries, manuscripts, printed books and liturgical items. An interactive presentation explains the history of Benedictine monasticism in Europe and of Tyniec itself.
