Muzeum Archidiecezjalne w Gnieźnie

Gniezno, wielkopolskie

Right beside Gniezno cathedral, in an adapted building on Kolegiaty Street, the museum shows sacred art from the archdiocese, some of it brought from collegiate churches in Kruszwica and Trzemeszno. Collections include religious sculpture, coffin portraits, liturgical textiles, medals, coins and mementos of Poland's recent primates. It also looks after the cathedral treasury, rich in Romanesque and Gothic pieces, and the famous Gniezno Doors.
