Muzeum Agatów w Rudnie

This private geology museum in Rudno, near Krzeszowice, opened in 2020 and displays cut and polished agates alongside amethysts and quartz. One room holds fossils from the Jurassic sea, and there are pieces of petrified trees too. The specimens were gathered from nearby fields and from the rubble of a disused melaphyre quarry. It stands on Spalisko, a volcanic hill close to Tenczyn Castle.
