Museumszentrum Burg Linn

Krefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen

In Krefeld's Linn district, a cluster of buildings forms the museum centre: Linn Castle, a baroque hunting lodge in the outer ward, the Archaeological Museum and the Geismühle mill. The round castle dates back to the 12th century, was destroyed in 1704 and restored in the 20th; exhibitions describe how it came about and what life there was like. The keep serves as a viewing tower over Linn and the castle park, which is part of the Route of Garden Art between Rhine and Meuse.
