Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museum

Krefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Home base of the Krefeld art museums, this building concentrates on art from the second half of the 20th century. It opened in 1899 and is a listed monument. It grew out of a local wish, after the death of Kaiser Wilhelm I, to honour him with a museum for art and learning rather than another statue, funded by donations from the people of Krefeld.
