Museumsstellwerk Lpf Lehrte

Lehrte, Niedersachsen

This listed signal box beside Lehrte station was built in 1896, with mechanical equipment dating from 1912. It controlled the passenger station until 1986. The lever frame, over 20 metres long, survives, and visitors can operate its levers themselves. On the ground floor, in the former wire-tensioning room, a 21-metre H0 model railway layout is also on show.
