Museumshof Winsen
Winsen/Aller, Niedersachsen
On a gentle rise among tall trees and the houses of Winsen, this open-air museum shows the farming life of the southern Lüneburg Heath. At its heart is a farmstead of six historic buildings, including a Low German hall house built in 1653. Other buildings typical of the region have been moved here too, dating from the mid-17th to the 20th century. The furnishings and farm tools inside are mostly from the 19th century.
