Museumshaus
Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
A gabled townhouse from the 14th century, first built as a shopkeeper's home, is among the oldest burghers' houses in Stralsund. Its roof timbers from shortly after 1300 survive almost complete, as does the Gothic hoisting wheel, one of the oldest in northern Europe. You can also see the stone hall floor from the 14th century and fittings added in the 17th and 19th centuries. The Stralsund Museum uses the house.
