Museum Terra Triassica Euerdorf

Mainfranken and the Rhön looked very different between 252 and 201 million years ago, and this museum shows how. Its fossils come from the Triassic, and models and dioramas by a specialist preparator illustrate how the climate, animals and plants changed over that time. The museum fills a former hunting lodge of the prince-abbots of Fulda, built in 1598. The core of the displays is a fossil collection that four local collectors built up over some fifty years.
