Museum Kloster Bentlage

Rheine, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Set in a protected landscape beside the River Ems, Bentlage is a former Crutched Friars monastery founded in 1437 and turned into a noble residence from 1803. The carefully restored, listed complex now works as a museum and cultural centre, with exhibitions, concerts and stage programmes. A café and guest rooms are on site, and the green surroundings make it a pleasant outing.
