Museum Johanniskapelle Kunst und Geist der Gotik

Beside the town parish church stands the chapel of 1497, which together with the neighbouring sexton's house holds a museum of Gothic art. You will see sculptures and reliefs, among them works by Tilman Riemenschneider and Hans Schäufelin, as well as panel paintings, bells, a Gothic Bible and liturgical vessels. The pieces come from the parish and from loans, and trace how Gothic art developed in Franconia.
