Bandkeramik-Museum Schwanfeld
Schwanfeld, Bayern
This archaeological museum in the Fröhrshof displays finds from the Linear Pottery culture, the earliest farming culture of Central Europe. Near Schwanfeld, the oldest known Linear Pottery houses in Germany were identified, dating from around 5400 BC. A village of four farmsteads and the grave of a man revered as the village founder give the site its interest.
