Museum für Stadtgeschichte Templin

Templin, Brandenburg

The museum sits inside the Prenzlauer Tor, one of three gates of Templin's fully preserved medieval town fortifications. It covers more than 750 years of town history and shows how people, landscape and tourism have shaped the place. It also introduces the Uckermark dialect poet Erna Taege-Röhnisch. The old walls, arches and views through gate, outer ward and foregate are worth the visit in themselves.
