Museum Deutscher Fayencen

Höchstädt an der Donau, Bayern

Around 1,000 German faience pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries fill the former Palatine living quarters on the first floor of Höchstädt Castle, spread over nearly 900 square metres. The displays explain the history, production and trades behind this ceramic art, show typical decoration and materials, and show what faience meant for the dining and home culture of the Baroque and Rococo.
