Heimatmuseum der Stadt Wertingen

The local museum occupies the cellar and corridors of Wertingen Castle, a complex dating from the 14th to 17th centuries. Its collections run from finds since the Neolithic through crafts and guilds, including a 17th-century loom, to farm tools and painted farmhouse cupboards. There are also regional costumes, sacred art such as a late Gothic figure of St Vitus in boiling oil, decorative arts, and weapons from the Napoleonic era to the Second World War.
