Museum des Nötscher Kreises
Nötsch im Gailtal, Kärnten
Set in the house where the painter Franz Wiegele was born, in the centre of Nötsch, this museum is devoted to the Nötsch Circle, a group of friends who painted in a highly individual style in the early 20th century. Alongside a cross-section of work by Wiegele, Sebastian Isepp, Anton Kolig and Anton Mahringer, period photographs and autograph documents show how the artists lived and whom they knew. It opened in 1998.
