Museum der Stadt Miltenberg

Miltenberg, Bayern

Ornate Renaissance oriels decorate the house on the Schnatterloch where Miltenberg's story is told. The rooms run from Roman times and the town's beginnings to the Bavarian era, with Jewish objects, Christian art and folk art along the way. Further sections cover fishing, shipping and pottery, a toy collection, and views of Miltenberg and paintings by artists who lived here. The museum won the Bavarian Museum Prize in 1999 for its concept.
