Muschelkalkmuseum Hagdorn
Ingelfingen, Baden-Württemberg
Fossils from the Triassic, when a subtropical Muschelkalk sea covered central Europe, form the heart of this geology and palaeontology museum. You will see sea lilies, armoured amphibians and other marine life, mostly from Germany, France and Poland, plus sea lilies and echinoderms from China and a display on the evolution of sea urchins. Rocks, minerals and the geological history of the Kocher valley round out the exhibition.
