Maarmuseum
Manderscheid, Rheinland-Pfalz
This museum explains how the Eifel's maars formed and how they have developed to the present, placing them in a wider international context. It occupies a listed building from around 1927 in an Expressionist-influenced Neues Bauen style, originally a festival hall and gym. A hiking trail, the Geo-Route Vulkaneifel around Manderscheid, extends the exhibition outdoors.
