Email-Museum in der Internationalen Begegnungsstätte

The museum of Himmerod Abbey occupies the oldest surviving building of the monastery, an old mill with an impressive timber roof structure, a water-powered mill and a historic bakery oven. The ground floor holds a collection of enamel, while the attic shows bronzes by the Eifel sculptor Johann Baptist Lenz, who came from nearby Oberkail. An exhibition on the first floor tells of the Cistercians and the founding and growth of Himmerod.
