Münster, Nordrhein-Westfalen
Art brut and outsider art stand at the centre of this art museum on the Alexianer grounds in southern Münster, alongside contemporary art. It occupies a Gründerzeit villa on the former Kannen estate, where a psychiatric clinic later grew up. Among the works on show are pieces by long-term patients who were encouraged to make art there.
