Kunst- und Wunderkammer Burg Trausnitz

Landshut, Bayern

In the Damenstock wing of Trausnitz Castle, this branch of the Bavarian National Museum presents an exhibition modelled on Renaissance cabinets of art and curiosities. It recalls the collection started in Landshut by Hereditary Prince Wilhelm, who lived at the castle from 1568 to 1579. An inventory from 1598 describes over 6,000 items from it.
