Kreismuseum Jerichower Land

An Art Nouveau villa near Genthin's railway station houses this local history museum, with more than 25,000 items spread over thirteen rooms. It tells the story of the region between the Elbe, Havel and Fläming. On the first floor, the prehistory collection shows finds from the area between the Havel and Elbe, including a burial urn from the late Roman Imperial period. A permanent exhibition then runs from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
