Izba Pamięci Władysława Reymonta w Kołaczkowie

Kołaczkowo, wielkopolskie

The novelist Władysław Reymont lived in the palace at Kołaczkowo from 1920 to 1925, and part of its first floor is now devoted to his memory. The dining room holds furniture he owned, designed in a Zakopane-inspired style, while the study has Biedermeier pieces including the Nobel laureate's small secretary desk. Photographs of his Warsaw flat and the palace park hang on the walls. You will also find copies of his letters, documents on his purchase of the estate, volumes of his works and photos of the writer.
