Industriemuseum Lauf

Lauf an der Pegnitz, Bayern

Set in an old trades quarter below Lauf's old town, partly in the halls of a former valve factory, this museum shows how workers and craftspeople lived and worked from about 1890 to 1970. Water-powered technology includes an iron hammer mill, a grain mill and a small power station. There are workshops from a hairdresser and cobbler to a chemist's shop. Two fully furnished flats, one from the early 20th century and one from the kidney-table era, show how home life changed.
