Hutzlerhaus

Feucht, Bayern

Feucht lies in the imperial Reichswald forest and was a medieval centre of Zeidlerei, beekeeping for honey and wax. The Zeidel Museum, in the restored three-storey Hutzlerhaus, shows old and new beekeeping equipment from Franconia, Thuringia, the Black Forest and the Lüneburg Heath, including log hives, straw skeps, beekeepers' pipes and historic beekeeper costumes.
