Historisches Museum Alte Münze
Friedrichstadt, Schleswig-Holstein
Despite the name, no coins were ever struck in the Alte Münze. The richly decorated Renaissance building of 1626 began as a storehouse and later served as a church and a library, among other things. Today it houses the town museum, with a modern exhibition on the founding of Friedrichstadt, its religious diversity and everyday life. The building itself is worth the visit.
