Heimatmuseum Mittersill

Mittersill, Salzburg

The Felberturm dates from the 12th century and once served as a residential and defensive tower; its herringbone masonry stands out. Today the museum on the ground floor shows how pack-animal trade crossed the Tauern, with the carriers' gear, routes and stories, plus a special weather station. The exhibition reopened in 2021 after a redesign.
