Böhl-Iggelheim, Rheinland-Pfalz

Two buildings tell the story of Böhl and Iggelheim. The old town hall is given over to dyeing: in the 19th century the Bechtold family ran a black, blue and fine-dye works in Iggelheim, and blue dyeing is now recognised as intangible cultural heritage. The exhibition also shows everyday life around 1900. The old schoolhouse recreates what school used to be like and also holds a large collection of fine porcelain.
