3F Deutsches Museum für Foto-, Film- und Fernsehtechnik

Deidesheim, Rheinland-Pfalz

This museum is devoted to the technology behind pictures and sound. On about 400 square metres it shows more than 5,500 items covering every era of photographic, film and television equipment. It occupies the rooms of the old Deidesheim hospital on the Weinstraße, diagonally across from the historic town hall. Look out for the copy of Ray Dolby's noise-reduction patent, which he sent to the museum himself.
