Hans-Grade-Museum

Borkheide, Brandenburg

A small exhibition aboard an Ilyushin IL-18 tells the story of the first powered flights in Germany, on the airfield at Borkheide, which began around 1909 and is one of the country's oldest. That same aircraft landed here on 16 November 1989. A film of historical footage from aviation history, including that landing, accompanies the visit. Other aircraft stand on the grounds too, among them a Kamov Ka-26 and an Airbus A310.
