Grodzisko in Sopot

On a wooded hill in Sopot, a few hundred metres from the sea, stand the remains of an early medieval stronghold dating from the 8th century, ringed by a rampart and moat among beech trees. At the top, huts, a gate and a palisade have been reconstructed exactly where excavations found traces of them. A pavilion at the foot displays finds from the research. Archaeological picnics, craft demonstrations and workshops are held here.
