Pałac Opatów w Oliwie

Gdańsk, pomorskie

A rococo palace set in Oliwa Park, once the residence of the Cistercian abbots. Its oldest wing goes back to the 15th century, and you can still see bare brick on the outside and a Gothic cross vault in the cellars. The building took its present form in the mid-18th century. Today it holds the modern art collection of the National Museum in Gdańsk, and it sits close to the Oliwa cathedral and monastery complex.
