Goslarer Museum

Goslar, Niedersachsen

This museum covers both the history of Goslar and the ground beneath it. You will find medieval art, much of it from the collegiate church of St. Simon and Jude, which was pulled down in 1820, along with objects showing how townspeople lived and did business. A geology section traces the earth's history through rocks, minerals and fossils. It all sits in a canon's house built in 1514, on the museum bank along the Abzucht stream.
