Geofyzikální muzeum

Skalná, Karlovarský kraj

A small museum in a historic farmstead from 1541 in the centre of Skalná, devoted to earthquakes in the Cheb region, where unusual swarms of tremors occur. It explains how they are monitored and how measurement developed. It opened in 2015, thirty years after the strongest swarm, in 1985–86, which reached magnitude 4.6.
