Geldmuseum der Deutschen Bundesbank

Money in all its forms is the subject here. The collection holds about 90,000 coins from antiquity to the present and 260,000 banknotes from around the world, along with things that served as money in other times and cultures, from cowrie shells and cocoa beans to a Rai stone disc from the Yap Islands. The museum stands at the Bundesbank's headquarters in Frankfurt-Bockenheim and has around 1,000 square metres of exhibition space after its expansion.
