Ganghofermuseum
Leutasch, Tirol
Ludwig Ganghofer spent almost twenty years at his hunting lodge in the Gaistal valley and wrote much of his work there, including the novel Das Schweigen im Walde. This museum, in Leutasch's former primary school, a listed building from 1949, covers his life and writing. It also looks at the village's history and the hunting life of the area. Around 1900 the lodge was a gathering place for Munich artists and musicians.
