Galerie buddhistického umění ve vodárenské věži

Třeboň, Jihočeský kraj

A former water tower in Třeboň now holds Buddhist art from Mongolia, Tibet and China. The permanent display brings together about 140 pieces from the 18th to the mid-20th century, originally made for temples and yurts, and the tower's round plan suits them well. The collection was assembled by Milan Klečka, a geologist born in Třeboň. Across from the tower is a freely accessible meditation park, the Garden of Compassion, with a statue of the bodhisattva Guanyin and a memorial to the victims of the Second World War.
