Friedrichswerdersche Kirche

Berlin, Berlin

Karl Friedrich Schinkel's Neo-Gothic brick church on Werderscher Markt was built between 1824 and 1831. Badly damaged in the war, it was rebuilt, and the altar, pulpit and coloured windows still recall its time as a Protestant church. Inside you now find nineteenth-century sculpture from the Nationalgalerie, including works by Schadow and Rauch.
