Friedensmuseum Erlauf

Erlauf, Niederösterreich

Erlauf has a place in the end of the Second World War: on the night of 8 to 9 May 1945, the Soviet general Dmitri Dritschkin and the American general Stanley Reinhart met here and marked the ceasefire that took effect one minute past midnight. This small museum on the Kirchenplatz recalls that meeting and the end of the war in Europe.
