Freilichtmuseum Viktoriastollen Engelfangen

Püttlingen, Saarland

On the protected site of the former Engelfangen surface works, this open-air museum shows how miners worked underground. In front of the mouth of the Viktoria tunnel, driven in 1901/02, stand heavy machines and equipment such as a drilling carriage, coal cutter, tubs, locomotive, winch and rope pulley. Together they show the coal's path from the face to transport above ground.
